Personal Mausoleums
The Hayden Mausoleum

Personal mausoleums are scattered throughout the park with many grouped around the pond. The largest is the Hayden Mausoleum that was commissioned by banker Charles H. Hayden in 1904. Frank Packard, a Columbus society architect, designed this mausoleum, his own nearby mausoleum and the Huntington Chapel Mausoleum.

Other mausoleums that represent famous names include the mausoleums of locally famous department store founder Simon Lazarus , and Gordon Battelle whose will provided that the bulk of his estate be used for creative research and the making of discoveries, which resulted in the establishment of the internationally renowned Battelle Institute.

The personal mausoleums at Green Lawn are constructed of granite, marble or sandstone in a variety of styles. The mausoleum lots offer space for beautiful landscape designs, which showcase a variety of specimen plantings. These are truly majestic monuments to those entombed within.

Green Lawn offers personal/family mausoleums to fit your individual needs and desires. Many sites are still available near the pond and throughout the Cemetery. Our Family Service Advisors can assist you, from start to finish, with site selection, mausoleum design and installation.
