Green Lawn Cemetery invites you to participate in its annual photo contest. You are welcome to visit and photograph the historic and scenic cemetery at 1000 Greenlawn Ave. The gates to Green Lawn are open 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM the first Saturday in November through the second Saturday in March, and 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM during Daylight Savings Time, the second Sunday in March through the first Sunday in November.
Contest winners will be announced and prizes awarded in January. Cash prizes will be $300 for first place, $200 for second, and $100 for third.
Please submit your photos to the Attention of Sandi Latimer, Volunteer Cordinator, Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave., Columbus, OH 43223 by December 31, of each year. The office is open 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Saturdays, and Noon to 4:00 PM Sundays. The office can be reached by calling 614/444-1123 or toll-free 1-800-595-1123. Our fax number is 614/444-9815. Entries sent by mail should be postmarked no later than December 31 of each year.

Photo Contest Rules
- All photographs must be taken on Green Lawn Cemetery's grounds during normal business hours. Photos must contain some element that is identifiable as being taken at Green Lawn and may include memorials, nature scenes, wildlife or other points of interest, but photographs of funerals and other private burial matters are strictly prohibited. Photographs considered offensive or disrespectful will be immediately removed from the contest.
- Color or black/white photos may be entered. Artistic creativity is encouraged as long as it maintains the dignity of Green Lawn.
- Photos must be at least 5" x 7," but no larger than 9" x 12" exclusive of mounting.
- All photos must be submitted in duplicate, one of which must be mounted.
- Framed photos will not be accepted.
- All photos shall be labeled on the back with the following information: the entrant's name, address, phone number(s), e-mail address (if applicable), title of photo, and date taken.
- There is a limit of three photo entries per entrant.
- Employees, family members of Green Lawn Cemetery employees, members of Friends of Green Lawn, members of the Green Lawn Board and their families are not allowed to enter. Green Lawn volunteers are encouraged to enter.
- The decisions of the judges are final.
- Green Lawn Cemetery reserves the right to retain and use all entries, as well as all duplicate photos for any cemetery purpose, including display, reproduction or other promotional use without further permission from, or payment to, the entrant. Wherever and whenever possible, the photographer will be given a credit line.
- Green Lawn Cemetery is not responsible for any damage or harm to any photo.
Green Lawn Cemetery gate is open 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily during the winter months and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily during the summer months. Directions to Green Lawn: Greenlawn Avenue is exit 105 off I-71, just one exit south of Interstate 70. Go West on Greenlawn Avenue past Harmon Ave. to the cemetery entrance.
